Country music singer, Ayla Brown, recently returned home after a whirlwind experience performing for the troops in four different countries. From June 25 to July 8, 2014, Ayla partnered with Armed Forces Entertainment for the third time since 2010 and visited seven military bases in Italy, Greece, Turkey, and Egypt.
“I just can’t even put into words how amazing the trip was,” said Ayla Brown. “Over the course of the two weeks we visited with hundreds of soldiers, sailors, and airmen who appreciated the fact that we traveled around the world to sing them some country music. I left feeling so inspired and so grateful for what they do for us. These men and women are truly the Pride of America.”
While overseas, Ayla promoted and gave out her latest CD, Heroes & Hometowns, to all of the military members, and she sang multiple songs off that album including her single, “Pride of America” and her follow-up anthem to female military members, “Hero in Her Hometown.”
Some of the highlights of the trip include the 4th of July show at Incirlik Air Base in Turkey where Ayla brought up dozens of children to dance with the band on stage, in Vicenza, Italy where Adam, a soldier from Texas, got up to sing a duet to “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” and in Egypt, where hundreds of soldiers packed into a gymnasium to listen to the band’s last show.
Throughout the tour Ayla gained hundreds of new fans and kept up with them through her social media pages. Every day she posted updates, photos, and acoustic videos on her Facebook page and Twitter handle.
